Abi Hodson

Abi Hodson is a trans, transmedia artist based in K’jipuktuk/Halifax and Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, where they are pursuing an MFA in Fibres & Material Practices at Concordia University. Their practice is grounded in collage and often incorporates video, movement, wearables, and books. Through their work, they investigate the kinship between the body and the material/external world, creating pieces that creature the queer body—breaking down the separation between body and space to move toward a third entity.

As Policy Coordinator, their goal is to use their creative facilitation practice to support the development of critical organizational materials for Céline Bureau. They plan to support the development of the residency’s mission, mandate, and policies by facilitating creative engagement sessions to consult on the vision and values of Céline Bureau members.
