Céline Bureau Communications Intern

Start Date: November 1, 2023

End Date: March 31, 2024

Work Hours: 10 hours per week (flexible)

Pay: $25/hour

Céline Bureau is looking to hire a Communications Intern to join our team. The position will play an important role in supporting outreach and communications, as well as oversee the coordination of our tool library (Céline Dépôt). The position will start on November 1, 2023 and will be wrapped up by March 31, 2024. This paid internship is an opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit arts management, communications, and organizational coordination. 

Based on funding guidelines, candidates must be a current postsecondary student (Cegep, college, or university) and be legally eligible to work in Canada. Your program of study must relate to the position (ie, Communications, Art Education, Visual Arts, Management, Information Studies, etc). Candidates have until October 15 to submit their application.

 

Responsibilities:

Communications - Outreach

  • Assist with updating and maintaining the organization's online content (including website, social media, and newsletter)
  • Targeted outreach and promotion of Céline public events
  • Follow up on potential community partnerships

Communications - “Inreach”

  • Respond to general email inquiries from the public, partners, and members
  • Schedule regular board and committee meetings
  • Maintain organizational calendar of events

Tool Library Coordination

  • Oversee the maintenance of our tool library (Celine Dépôt)
  • Coordinate tool lending and returns, ensuring accurate tracking of tools and payments

Ideal candidate requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and French, with oral and written communication skills in both languages
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in the following programs: Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Forms, Calendar), Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Premiere, Mailchimp
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and independently when required.
  • Knowledgeable about the local Montreal arts community
